That loathesome thing you do in order to feed your children / thing under the bed.

I've been working at my job for 1 year and 3 months. When I was hired, I was told that I'd be able to work from home twice per week. I can count on one hand the number of times that I've worked from home. Every other employee can do it at will, but I have to ask permission. Why just me? I work so hard and try to do good work, but it never benefits me. I may as well just do the very bare minimum to not get fired and just coast until I can get a new job. I wish my boss would get past whatever it was I did to give her a bad impression and just treat me like everyone else. I hate her so bad. I can't wait to get a new job. Oh! But wait! I can't seem to get a job I want because I don't have the required experience and I have to much education and they think I won't accept the offered pay, which is completely untrue! I've come across perfect jobs for me, but I don't even get a phone call. I hate it. I don't want to do what I'm doing now, especially under the devil boss that I have now.

Charlie, Rockstar of Space,

Never stay at a job where you are miserable or feel mistreated . Make sure to evaluate the pros and cons. If cons outweighs the pros then you have your answer. Maybe your taking it too personal.maybe just do as your told and relax about what she thinks. If it really bother you maybe find a way to ask . Dont over think it , I've done it before and never benefited me.

Peyton, Hunter of Darkness,

Unfortunately, in this case, what does not kill you makes you stronger. Think of it this way... you remember the last time you went without a decadent, delicious piece of chocolate cake? Remember that feeling when you finally had a bite after months, when it hit your tastebuds and you really enjoyed it? Well, that's your next job. You're just learning to appreciate it, and every day you survive this witch, the cake will taste that much more delightful.

Charlie, Clerk of the IT department,

Good time to schmooze all the other bosses in the company. If there is a chance to get in on a different type of project, do so. Be a great performer then let it be known you're looking for another job. Fear of losing someone good can change behaviour.

Managers who lose good employees look bad.
