I grew up in a small town in Ontario, Canada. I was baptised as a Roman Catholic and went to Church every Sunday with my family. I went to a seperate elementary school with children that were all the same ethnicity and religion as I am. I graduated grade 8, and was confirmed along with the rest of my class. Religion was always so attached to education, it didn't seem personal or spiritual for me. The morals that I learned from it are valuable to my life today. I try to be a good and kind person and I beleive that I have my own connection with spirituality, outside of religion. I do not feel that I need to satisfy anyone's idea of what ife should be, but mine. And, becuase human's have the ability to think for themselves, I may change my mind again someday. Because you see you are always learning and growing in life, the trick is to let yourself learn and grow and not to be afraid of other ideas and theories of how we came to be, or why we are. If you pay close attention, you'll see that we all have something to learn from each other. If we actually heard each other and listened to each other, we may just be able to figure this whole life thing out. I believe that the way to live is just to be kind to others and not to reserve yourself. Experience people and the World. I believe that if there is a "God", that is what he/she/it would want. So, instead of sitting in a church on a beautiful sunday morning and chanting memorized prayers like any cult would do, I'll be outside listening to the birds as the sunlight kisses my nose, and dances across my cheeks, forcing my lips into a smile.
