I am so annoyed with the people around me fasting for Ramadan. Everyone is just hungry and thirsty for no purpose. Really. Ramadan - not eating or drinking during the day - sleeping throughout the day and staying awake from dusk to dawn smoking and eating. I don't think that's what the Prophet meant. And not even praying while you're fasting. What's the big deal? Anyone can not eat or drink for 12 or more hours (unless they are sick or something), why don't you try to have the discipline to pray ON TIME 5 times a day, then come to me about fasting. Yo, fam - I'm not doing it. I can't risk not having enough sleep to take care of my baby. I also won't risk my health to fast. (Not referring to whether or not it is healthy to fast, just saying I have a medication I have to take mid-day.) I hate being judged, so I'm judging back - totally hypocritical, but I don't care right now. I'm ranting about religion apparently.

you sound very sensible to me espcially if you are breastfeeding.
