My boyfriend and I disagree when it comes to politics and religious topics. Is this a dealbreaker in a relationship? I hate how we argue about it and I would rather be with someone who shares the same political & religious beliefs.

    If you feel like you would rather be with someone who shares your beliefs, then yes, in your case it is a dealbreaker. If you two can't find some sort of common ground about your conflicting issues, you will just keep fighting all of the time and what's the point of being in a relationship if you can't discuss simple politics without getting into a huge fight?

We talked some more about it and it turns out that real reason he doesn't agree religious topics is because he admits that he doesn't fully understand what's involved in a particular religion. As for politics, we don't agree on most of it because of his past personal experiences with it (they have been negative). Mine have been positive. Therein lies the problem lol. At least we both recognize "why" we don't agree on some religious topics and most political topics, too.
