Why do we waste so much fucking time trying to figure out the meanings of shit? What's the meaning of marriage? The meaning of life? What about the meaning of Christmas? Who gives a flying fuck, right? The Christians give fucking sorry excuses for the meaning of Christmas. They put their God bullshit in there and expect everyone to believe it. An atheist like myself doesn't buy it. Then those fucking faggots have to put their two cents in about family. I hate my family, and besides that, the people you actually look forward to seeing are not interested in seeing you and they don't come anyways. It's just a big fucking let down; the story of my life. There are kids who think it's all about the presents, and in america that's what it has amounted to. That is the closest definition someone can get. It's not something to be proud of, but it is what it is. Well i'm sick of Christmas crap. you just waste your time being with people you hate to celebrate a stupid holiday you don't believe in to get more stuff you don't need and eat a shit load of food. I just loath Christmas.

I agree with you..Christmas has become nothing but a victim of hallmark and toysRus. Religion is suppose to be a peaceful mind opening experience and those people who try to force a religion onto someone while verbal attacking or physically attacking are probably going against there own beliefs.
I believe that if you want to show yor religion to someone...have an open mind and dont be quick to use your defensive tones. Instead people need to preach serenity, whether it is about religion or no religion.
My advice to you is to explore different beliefs and see if you can find one that you are at peace with. You might not even find anything more comforting than believing in what you believe is right.
If i may..check this man out..

Im not pushing anything on you, it was only a suggestion:)
Good luck with everything and embrace your beliefs with nothing but kindness to others outside of it for we all are human, and its in our nature to become defensive towards the unknown.

I hate my fucking family, and goddamit I hate the fucking baby Jesus, but I sure love Christmas! For one evening and one day I get to pretend that my family is super fun, I get to pretend that I love my presents, and I get to pretend that dinner with relatives I have absolutely no interest in seeing and eating food that isn't that great is actually a fantastic thing. And then I get to go home.
What I celebrate myself is solstice. I celebrate the fact that the days are getting longer one day at a time, that the light is returning to my hemisphere and that things will be growing again sometime soon. So at my house we have a solstice tree, and I keep my daughter away from all things Jeebus. I don't give a shit if anyone thinks I'm appropriating religious/cultural symbols, because let's be honest, Christianity did all that first.
