    Thanks for the reply! We talked some more about it and it turns out that real reason he doesn't agree religious topics is because he admits that he doesn't fully understand what's involved in a particular religion. As for politics, we don't agree on most of it because of his past personal experiences with it (they have been negative). Mine have been positive. Therein lies the problem lol. At least we both recognize "why" we don't agree on some religious topics and most political topics, too.
