And another thing
the customer is always right, first rule of business. If a company wishes to gain and maintain a good reputation then pleasing customers is essential. Therefore refusal to refund is likely to lead to this kind of feedback. If the item has been posted and proof of postage has been gained then the seller will receive a full refund, so there is no additional cost involved. It should be a simple issue to resolve and of the utmost importance to any retailed. I have been an ebay trader for years and have only ever had one package go missing. It does happen but if it's happening frequently to the same retailer then questions should be asked. After all, they have several hundreds of thousands of people's mail to lose, the probability of it happening this frequently just about disproves it altogether. All I can say to this retailer is get some brain cells before you try and con me.

Oh,
and another thing. It is only the vendor who can apply to the royal mail for a refund as they are the ones with proof of postage. if the customer is to apply, proof of postage must be sent to the customer to enable this to happen. Whoever wrote all those posts about Royal mail is misinformed. This applies for both recorded and standard delivery as proof of posting can be gained for both.
