   There is one MAJOR problem with this alleged forgery.

   There is a stain over the word "Maiden" in the Mother section of the form in the first image. On the second image it isn't there. Now that's no big deal, but the revealed word under the stain isn't "Maiden". It's "Maieen". Either the forger added the stain to the document because of his typo, or he photoshopped the stain out of the document, and didn't think about copying in the correct letter.  

   This could too easily be someone who owned the same rug or quilt and figured he could claim responsibility for the document.

     But the word revealed under the "stuff" doesn't actually say "Maiden". It says "Maieen". Definitely "shopped".

       No, not "shopped." All the other creases, dirt smudges, and staple holes match. Just the flake of mud or whatever it is (likely placed there when the hoaxer noticed the typo after the fact) is gone in the typewriter picture. Likelier culprit? Gravity.

   It's not a stain. It's a piece of tobacco. I unforunately discovered the typographical error after everything else had been done. Because it was next to the fold I thought I would add a litle authenticity so I moistened the tobacco, folded the top of the page over and pressed on it to create the corresponding brown coloured stain above the fold. Because the piece of tobacco wasn't adhered to the page, it fell off when I picked up the document after photographing it.

       Nobody took a look at the issue who hadn't seen the issue before. The Birther movement was already widely known and sides had already been chosen. Nothing has changed.
