still less did the wise men ween to get
great fee for the feud from his fiendish hands.
But the evil one ambushed old and young
death-shadow dark, and dogged them still,
lured, or lurked in the livelong night
of misty moorlands: men may say not
where the haunts of these Hell-Runes3 be.
Such heaping of horrors the hater of men,
lonely roamer, wrought unceasing,
harassings heavy. O'er Heorot he lorded,
gold-bright hall, in gloomy nights;
and ne'er could the prince4 approach his throne,
-- 'twas judgment of God, -- or have joy in his hall.
Sore was the sorrow to Scyldings'-friend,
heart-rending misery. Many nobles
sat assembled, and searched out counsel
how it were best for bold-hearted men
against harassing terror to try their hand.
Whiles they vowed in their heathen fanes
altar-offerings, asked with words5
that the slayer-of-souls would succor give them
for the pain of their people. Their practice this,
their heathen hope; 'twas Hell they thought of
in mood of their mind. Almighty they knew not,
Doomsman of Deeds and dreadful Lord,
nor Heaven's-Helmet heeded they ever,
Wielder-of-Wonder. -- Woe for that man
who in harm and hatred hales his soul
to fiery embraces; -- nor favor nor change
awaits he ever. But well for him
that after death-day may draw to his Lord,
and friendship find in the Father's arms!

LoL...you people are amazing. You bad mouth a church that goes out of its way to help it community and to bring people to Jesus.....you talk about the pastor and throw out what he is supposedly maiking....which by the way you have no idea what you are talking about....and all the while you do this with total anonymity.....you are a bunch of cowards. If you are going to bad mouth somebody at least have the balls to use your name. It is amazing to me how many tough guys are out there when they are afraid to come from behind the "protective skirts" of the internet. Feel free to look around at the sad state of the societ that we currently live in.....complain about how bad things are......and then realize that you are going around and trying to harm and sabotage people and churches that are actually trying to make a difference. You are all pathetic and in my opinion you rank right up there with terrorists who are trying to hurt our country as a whole. Now please notice that do have a set of balls and I have no problem with signing my name to my posts.

Well Joe, it's likely that many people who refer to your father's church as a cult are afraid of the reprecussions of listing their name. Cults are known to be extremely aggressive against people who disagree publicly with their doctrines so can you blame them?
