NASCAR Forum - An Overview For Choosing Cup Series Forums

  Confused about the vast number of NASCAR forums on the internet?  The goal of this article is to help you sift through all the Cup forums so you'll be able make the correct decision on which one is right for you to join.   I've compiled a list of all the forums that I found after performing a Google search for "NASCAR forums".  I've listed all the Cup forums here, even the smaller and basically inactive ones.   Remember, the goal of joining a forum is to discuss NASCAR racing in a comfortable, fun environment with friendly and knowledgeable fans.  The forum should be free from trolls (troublemakers) and free from moderator hassles.  You also want the forum to be active where people are participating at least on a daily basis, but more preferably on an hourly basis or less.  After all, you've come for discussion so you don't want to submit a question/comment and then nobody even logs into the site for a week to reply.   Here's the complete list:   RECOMMENDED:       --  http://www.boards.nascarfrontpage.com/   Makes the claim that they are the best NASCAR forum on the internet and they've got the metal to back it up.  A growing site with friendly, knowledgeable members.  Powerful bulletin board with many user options.  Slightly tricky to navigate at first.  Recommended.     --  http://www.facebook.com/NASCAR?ref=ts   In my opinion, this is a strange way to discuss NASCAR.  It's not really a forum per se, but a "wall board" of comments about the sport.  In my opinion it's too scattered and unfocused to have any real meaningful discussions, but for some this may be just the ticket.  Somewhat recommended.       NOT RECOMMENDED:       --  http://community.nascar.com/   Boasts 177K members, but only has about 50 active members.   Very strict moderation, some say over-moderation and censorship drives members away.  Site is very buggy and issues are not addressed.   Slowly becoming a ghost town as members get disgusted and leave.  Not recommended.       --  http://motorsports.fanhouse.com/   Comment on professionally written NASCAR articles.  No fan forum.  Not recommended.       --  http://my.speedtv.com/go/forum/view/55836/98316/cup   Some fans who leave nascar.com come here.  There aren't that many new daily threads, and it's not very active.  Not recommended.       --  http://www.thatsracin.com/111/index.html   New format has driven
